Application Developer II Location Massachusetts :

DUTIES: Develop, implement, maintain, integrate, and support complex systems in a highly regulated environment based upon business needs and user requirements.

Analyze functional, performance, and capacity needs for application software that drive the design of quality technical solutions.

Identify opportunities for improvement: review web application capabilities, workflows, and limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system and to develop new integrations between systems.

Work on projects that involve interfaces across diverse hardware platforms, with multiple programming languages, development tools, or data access tools.

Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify applications.

Apply full system IT software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology, including design, build, testing, and support to meet business requirements.

Upgrade system and correct errors to maintain system as part of the IT SDLC after implementation and provide technical documentation for program development.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience of development experience, or in any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study plus 3 years of development experience, or in any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience as an equivalent alternative.

Must have experience or knowledge of:

.NET/web development and SQL;

ASP.NET 4.5, ASP.NET Core, IIS 7.0 or higher;

MS SQL Server (2012 or higher);

Entity Framework;

Application of software development methodologies; and

Customer integrations and web-based tools.

Travel: Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.
