We have 55 amazing employees across the North Shore and South Shore, and we are looking for a powerhouse HR & Talent Generalist to join our team. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Proactive Talent Scouting: You aren't just an "order taker"—you are a talent scout. You’ll proactively build a "bench" of high-quality Journeymen and Apprentices to keep our growth on track.
• The Manager’s Coach: You’ll be the professional advisor and coach for our management team, helping them navigate employee relations, performance documentation, and culture-building across all our locations.
• The "Systems" Architect: You’ll own the digital world of Kuhlman HR—mastering Service Fusion , Google Workspace , and our PEO ( Insperity ).
• The Compliance Shield: From rigorous I-9 audits to FMLA and licensing oversight, you’ll ensure Kuhlman is 100% compliant and audit-ready at all times.
• Employer Branding: You’ll keep us looking sharp by managing company branded apparel, designing recruitment brochures, and representing Kuhlman at regional job fairs and industry events.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s Degree required. SHRM-CP or PHR certification highly preferred.
• Proven Success: 2–4+ years in a dedicated HR role. Experience in the Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing) or Industrial/Manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Process-Oriented: You enjoy the challenge of managing complex digital filing and system workflows.
• Tech Power-User: You are a Google Workspace expert and have the aptitude to master field-service software (Service Fusion) with ease.
• Professional Presence: You have the confidence to lead internal investigations and disciplinary meetings with professionalism, neutrality, and a thick skin.
• Reliable Engine: As a department of one, you are the engine that keeps our people-operations running smoothly.

The Details:

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday. (Includes occasional off-hours availability required for emergency HR response).
• Travel: Based in Danvers, MA. This role includes occasional site visits to our Billerica and Brockton shops, as well as travel for regional recruitment events and job fairs.

• HR in construction, contracting or manufacturing/industrial: 2 years (Required)
• Field service management software: 1 year (Preferred)
• PEO: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
