Warehouse Manager - Food Manufacturing
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse and logistics operations at one of our New England production facilities. This leadership role manages the full flow of materials-from inbound receiving and storage to inventory control, production supply, and outbound shipping of finished goods.
The right candidate will prioritize safety, compliance, and accuracy while developing a strong team culture and driving continuous improvement to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage receiving, shipping, and warehouse processes with emphasis on FIFO and accurate inventory practices.
Ensure staff compliance with warehouse systems, conducting audits and reinforcing best practices.
Oversee cycle counts and monthly inventory reconciliations, maintaining system accuracy within the ERP platform.
Safeguard traceability and inventory integrity through effective lot tracking and data management.
Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and adjust strategies to meet financial targets.
Align staffing schedules and labor costs with operational needs while optimizing efficiency.
Enforce compliance with safety and quality programs, including HACCP, GFSI, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
Lead, train, and mentor warehouse personnel, setting clear expectations and fostering professional growth.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
Recruit and coach team members to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
Analyze reports, identify operational trends, and implement solutions to improve KPIs.
Actively participate in cross-functional and safety meetings to address challenges and support company objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues such as shipping discrepancies, inventory variances, and service concerns.
Qualifications
3-5 years of warehouse management experience in a food manufacturing or related production environment.
Proven track record in process improvement and operational efficiency.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to execute strategic plans.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft D365 or similar preferred).
Knowledge of food safety programs and inventory control systems (HACCP, GFSI, etc.).
