Position: Middle School Science Teacher
Location: Boston, MA (Jamaica Plain)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full-time, MondayFriday
Rate: $50$55/hour
About the Opportunity
An established middle school in Jamaica Plain is seeking a dedicated 7th Grade Science Teacher to join its team immediately. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity and critical thinking while maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Teach up to four middle school Science classes.
- Support students in achieving academic and personal growth goals.
- Participate in coaching and professional development sessions.
- Contribute to school programming and community initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience (urban education preferred).
- Meets or can meet Massachusetts DESE certification requirements within one year of hire.
- Demonstrated belief in student potential and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proven record of student success and ability to work collaboratively on a team.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have current U.S. work authorization .
