Embedded Linux Field Engineer

Nordic Semiconductor is seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineer to develop our embedded Linux SDK written in Rust. You’ll be working with cutting-edge hardware companies as they integrate for the first time or add support for newly built features. Key responsibilities

• Work with sales and customer success teams to design solutions for prospects and customers to solve real-world business problems.
• Improve the Linux SDK to work on every major embedded Linux distribution across IoT devices
• Engage directly with firmware engineers at cutting-edge hardware companies to integrate the platform
• Build out and improve reference examples, SDK documentation, and automated tests
• Ship code early and often to customers, seeing devices in the wild running your code

Qualifications and skills

• 3+ years of experience writing Rust/C/C++ code on embedded Linux devices, typically Arm CPUs
• Well-versed in Yocto or Buildroot
• Great communicator, credible with technical buyers, and clear with business stakeholders
• Organized, efficient, and passionate about automated testing and CI/CD
