Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Location: Boston, MA 02115 – Massachusetts healthcare jobs
• Setting: Hospital Respiratory Care Unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/28/2025, End: 12/28/2025)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (Day: 07:00–19:00, Night: 19:00–07:00; 50/50 rotation or straight nights)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,470 - $2,540

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• 2-3 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience, including at least 1 year in NICU/PICU
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Valid Massachusetts state respiratory therapist license (PERM license required)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with Nitric Oxide (INo) therapy and pediatric critical care
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Two professional references from two of the last three places of employment (must be from different facilities)

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients ranging from premature infants to adults in a hospital setting
• Deliver advanced therapy in NICU and PICU units
• Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including Nitric Oxide therapy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols
• Work a rotating schedule, including every other weekend
