Job Title: Retail Supervisor/Manager - Join a Friendly Local Team

Location: Boston, MA and Portland, ME

We have open positions at both of our FLYN locations right now. Our Boston Store is located at 149 North St. and our Portland Store is located at 340 Fore St.

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time. Temp to Hire.
Pay: $18 per hour during 1 month trial period. If we hire you permanently after trial period ends, pay increases to $20 per hour.
Start Date: Looking to hire starting between Mid-April to Mid-May.

We’re looking for a motivated, dependable Manager who enjoys helping people and running a store, takes pride in their work, and enjoys promoting products by a local artist.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming customers and creating a positive shopping experience
• Opening or Closing store following opening/closing procedure guidelines
• Making store schedules and tracking employee hours
• Processing purchases using the POS system
• Training employees and assigning tasks as needed
• Organizing and restocking merchandise on the sales floor
• Sewing patches onto hats as needed
• Placing special orders for customers for custom or out of stock items
• Managing and tracking inventory
• Emptying garbage, cleaning and dusting as needed to maintain a clean store environment
• Other tasks as needed
• Updating coworkers and managers at end and beginning of shift changes regarding any relevant store information or updates

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills
• Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic and ability to take initiative and manage store operations
• Ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail
• Retail or customer service experience
• Management or Supervisory experience is helpful but not required
• Sewing experience is helpful but not required
• Our store is dog friendly, so must be comfortable around animals

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25- 30 lbs occasionally, and go up and down steps
• Ability to stand for extended periods
