The Town of Ware is seeking applicants for the position of Payroll & Benefits Administrator. This position reports directly to the Town Accountant. Duties focus on payroll, record keeping, employee benefits, and accounts payable. Other duties include data entry, preparing reports, and other office related functions for the Town Accountant.

Requires knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft office, including advanced
knowledge of Excel. MUNIS, Harpers and Employee Navigator experience preferred. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with numbers. The position requires an associate degree and at least five years’ payroll or accounting experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a municipal office setting and with computerized accounting systems is preferred.
