We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join the accounting team at a leading frame manufacturer and distributor. This role is responsible for full-charge accounting duties, including daily financial operations, monthly closings, tax filings, and year-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities:

Weekly:

· Prepare and update credit memos and accrual balances for major customers.

· Process and print A/P checks with supporting documentation.

· Calculate and report payroll hours to payroll service; post payroll summaries to G/L.

Monthly:

· Generate and distribute customer statements; follow up on overdue accounts.

· Reconcile bank statements and post necessary journal entries.

· Process and distribute commission checks.

· Post standard monthly journal entries and maintain fixed asset schedules.

· Prepare documentation for prepaid expenses and year-end reporting.

· File MA and WA state sales/use tax returns online.

Quarterly & Annually:

· File quarterly tax payments via check or ACH.

· Assist with 401(k) census, 1099 preparation, insurance renewals, and workers’ comp audits.

· File year-end estimated tax payments.

· Support year-end close and audit preparation.

Preferred Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· Experience with multi-state tax filings (e.g., MA, WA).

· Familiarity with payroll processing and HR coordination.

10+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a small to mid-sized business environment.

Strong background in general ledger accounting, AP & AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
