Position Summary: We are seeking driven and technically skilled sales engineers to join our installation team, specializing in either HVAC or plumbing and piping solutions. The Project Sales Engineer is responsible for driving growth by identifying opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and delivering customized solutions that meet clients' needs. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and relationship builder with a proven record in sales, and the ability to confidently navigate technical conversations with a wide range of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships and business opportunities with residential and commercial clients.
- Conduct client site visits to assess project requirements and recommend appropriate systems and solutions that meet client needs.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals, technical presentations, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and handoff.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company.
- Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and energy efficiency solutions.
- Participate in kickoff meetings and support planning efforts for key installations or service jobs.
Specialized Focus Areas:
HVAC Sales
- Develop and promote solutions for HVAC systems such as chillers, VRF, RTUs, air handling units, and controls.
- Provide technical guidance on energy-efficient system design, retrofit, and replacement projects.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to create accurate proposals.
Plumbing & Piping Sales
- Develop and promote solutions for domestic water, boilers, sanitary, storm, process piping, and gas piping systems.
- Provide technical guidance on new construction and retrofit projects.
- Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications into accurate scopes of work and estimates.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related mechanical trade industries.
- Strong sales acumen and ability to operate in both residential and commercial settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel regularly to job sites.
- Proficiency in CRM system, ERP system, and Microsoft Office preferred.
