Your Clinical Impact: Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Care: Perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures for communication disorders and dysphagia (including modified barium swallows).
• Individualized Planning: Establish therapeutic plans of care with functional long- and short-term goals, seeking input from residents and caregivers.
• Collaborative Consultation: Act as a resource for physicians and the interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress and discharge needs.
• Education: Provide vital instruction to residents and families on the use of assistive devices and compensatory strategies.
• Program Development: Assist in developing new speech therapy services and providing in-services to nursing and other departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensure: Active SLP license in good standing in Massachusetts.
• Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required; BLS preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a compassionate, resident-centered approach.
