Imagine your first project

You receive a complex print with tight positional tolerances. You interpret the GD&T, plan reference planes, and select fixtures. You set up a wire EDM, program at the machine, manage multiple set-ups, and even perform in-place machining on a fixture to hit the last micron. You verify the result with a CMM and optical comparator—and ship with confidence.

Role focus

• Set up, operate, and edit EDM programs to deliver both routine and non-routine precision parts.
• Perform shop-floor programming, multiple set-ups, and in-place fixture machining.
• Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters; apply GD&T.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length offset equipment.

Skills we value

• Experienced Machinist level capability.
• Blueprint fluency and mastery of GD&T.
• Metrology expertise: from hand tools to CMM and optical comparators.
• Comfort reading and applying G and M codes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork.
