SEAS Beach Supervisor / Safety Officer

Seasonal (SEAS) Position

Job Description:

An individual who will deal with the entire site safety and proper coverage of site in accordance with the Recreation Division. Beach Supervisors will receive policy from the Recreation Director, Assistant Recreation Director, Program Coordinator, Swim Program Director. Financial oversight and personnel supervision of seasonal staff, implement policies imposed by the Recreation Division, and manage specific tasks being conducted by fee collection personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Graduate with some college experience, Supervisory experience and knowledge of beach operations required, CPR and First Aid. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Qualifications:

Must be skilled in personnel management with knowledge of collection and reconciliation of user fees. Employee must effectively communicate knowledge to individuals from various age groups, educational levels, and backgrounds. Must be able to calmly and reasonably assess complex situations under pressure and deal with caustic people in an appropriate manner. Must have clear knowledge of the policies and procedures set forth in the beach supervisor’s manual.

$22.25 - $22.75 hourly, no benefits
