A night shift pharmacist position is available at a 200-bed community hospital located on Cape Cod, approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work in a hospital setting serving a close-knit community, providing essential pharmaceutical care during overnight hours.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during the shift
• Manage pharmacokinetics, including dosing and monitoring drug levels
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to manage electronic medical records and medication dispensing

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and protocols
• Familiarity with hospital software systems, including EPIC and Pyxis, preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with clinical staff
