Director of Nursing Services at Marlborough Hills Rehab!
As a Director of Nursing Services, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Services Department, ensuring that our residents receive top-notch care in a safe and efficient manner.
Marlborough Hills is an 186-bed skilled nursing facility with a large SUDS population. Salaried role up to $160,000.
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, according to state and federal guidelines and scope of patient care.
Maintain and review clinical policies and procedures, and develop new ones as needed.
Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure.
Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department and make recommendations to the Administrator.
Oversee licensed nursing staff and develop work assignments and schedules.
Develop and maintain an on-call program for the nursing department.
Conduct daily rounds of each nursing unit and review satisfaction of care and services with families and residents.
Assist in establishing and maintaining the Infection Control Program and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, college, or university, B.S.N. preferred.
Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
CPR certified.
Certification in Gerontology preferred.
At least one year of additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing and one year of nursing administration.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
