Pre-K Teacher (Immediate Opening)
Position: Pre-K Teacher (Immediate Opening)
Location: Hyde Park, MA
Rate: $50-55/hour
About the Role:
Our agency is hiring on behalf of a partner school in Hyde Park, MA that has an immediate opening for a Pre-K Teacher. Teachers are responsible for the academic and social growth of their students, supporting a classroom of 17-18 students. Pre-K Teachers are supported in the classroom by a paraprofessional.
Schedule:
- School day: 7:00 AM 2:45 PM
- Professional development: Wednesdays until 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach all core subjects, except Arts and PE
- Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, providing support to ensure student success
- Participate actively in coaching and professional development opportunities
- Assist with school programs and activities during non-instructional time
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the school community
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- At least 2 years of full-time classroom or special education teaching experience, preferably in an urban education setting
- Must meet teacher certification requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), or be able to meet them within 1 year of hire
- Believe that all students can succeed and demonstrate a commitment to their growth
- Desire to continually improve teaching practice through feedback and professional development
- Proven record of student growth and achievement is a plus
