Location: Hyannis, MA 02601

Job Type: Contract

Shift: Days

Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts

Travel Pay Range: $63–$67 hourly

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – IV Therapy for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care utilizing the full nursing process with accurate and timely documentation.

  • Summarize assessment findings, develop individualized care plans, and communicate essential information to the clinical team.

  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments and interventions.

  • Demonstrate competency in taking charge responsibility when assigned.

  • Maintain proficiency in electronic medical records and nursing informatics systems.

  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff regarding patient care, orientation, and education.

  • Participate in a minimum of four unit-based meetings annually and complete all mandatory training.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying clinical indicators, evaluating care outcomes, and adhering to safety, infection control, and blood/body fluid protocols.

  • Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices for relevant patient populations.

  • Represent the organization with professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service.

  • Provide excellent service to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Successful completion of facility-specific Pharmacology exam.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Prior IV therapy experience required.

  • Current hands-on vascular access experience (venipuncture, midlines, PICC lines).

  • Competency in peripheral IV placement for pediatric and neonatal patients (within 6 months of hire).

  • Experience with PICC line insertion and ultrasound-guided PIVs preferred.

  • Proficiency in PICC placement required within 1 year of hire.

  • IV Certification (CRNI) required within 2.5 years.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
