Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the business office, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, and resident financial accounts.
- Oversee the processing of insurance claims, Medicaid, and Medicare billing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate and monitor resident financial transactions, including payments, deposits, and refunds.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports for management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve financial and billing issues.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to long-term care billing and financial management.
- Perform daily census tasks and set up insurance plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business office management role within a long-term care or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of billing and financial processes, including Medicaid/Medicare and verifying payer sources.
- Knowledge of RFMS resident trust accounts.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suites.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
