Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med-Surg Adult (Watkins I)

Location: Gardner, MA 01440

Job Type: Contract – 13 Weeks

Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 hours/week | Every other weekend & holiday (Mon–Sun rotation)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical Adult unit to provide comprehensive, high-quality patient care. The RN will be responsible for assessment, medication administration, patient education, care coordination, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Licensure:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

Certifications:

• BLS required
• ACLS required upon hire or within 60 days

Experience:

• Minimum: Less than 1 year of nursing experience
• Preferred: 1+ year of Med-Surg experience and telemetry exposure

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care in accordance with clinical standards and hospital policies
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments safely
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, lab results, and escalate abnormalities as needed
• Provide patient and family education to support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Assist with clinical procedures including pain management, orthopedic/traction devices, feeding systems, and chest tubes
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams during rounds
• Prioritize care effectively and respond to emergencies as required
• Supervise and delegate appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability
