Mechanical Estimator
job summary:
Mechanical Estimator needed for a direct hire role in the Greater Boston Area. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established contractor known for delivering high-quality mechanical systems across New England and a rapidly growing preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cost estimating within mechanical contracting and HVAC systems and will play an important role in supporting the planning and coordination of HVAC projects.

responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate HVAC estimates for commercial and industrial projects
- Review project drawings, specifications, and and bid documents to develop complete scopes of work
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for HVAC systems, equipment and associated materials
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams during preconstruction
- Particapte in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and value engineering discussions
- Assist with budget development, conceptual estimates and desgin-build pricing when required
- 5+ years of pricing for mechanical contracting or HVAC work, or related field experience with mechanical contractor
- Proficiency in estimating software and take-off tools
- Proven understanding of HVAC systems, equipment and installation methods
- Experience in pricing commercial and/or industrial mechanical projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
