Responsibilities
- Provide surgical first-assist support per the supervising surgeon during operative procedures in outpatient and main OR settings.
- Maintain sterile technique, handle instruments, assist with suturing, retraction, and hemostasis; anticipate instrument needs.
- Collaborate with the perioperative team; participate in time-outs, counts, positioning, and patient safety activities.
- Float between outpatient surgery and main OR as needed; adapt to varied case types and patient populations.
- Document perioperative care and maintain equipment readiness; support anesthesia and nursing staff to ensure efficient, safe procedures.

Requirements
- Active Licensed Registered Nurse in Massachusetts; license in hand at submission
- Minimum 3 years’ RNFA experience; CNOR certification required
- BLS certification required
- COVID-19 vaccine booster required (no exemptions)
- MA RN license in hand at submission; SSN and DOB required for submission
- Ability to work in outpatient and main OR environments; on-call rotation
- Floating to main OR as needed
- Local radius: within 50 miles of assignment location
