Job Title: Laboratory Donor Transfusion Supervisor

Location: Hyannis, MA

Duration: 13-Week Contract

Schedule: 40 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, Days; occasional evenings/weekends/holidays)

Pay: $80/hr | Weekly: $3,061

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead Blood Bank/Transfusion Services and Donor Programs. Responsible for operations, compliance, quality, and team leadership in a clinical lab setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee blood bank operations, compatibility testing, and blood product distribution

• Ensure compliance with AABB, FDA, and HIPAA standards

• Manage donor center operations, collections, and mobile blood drives

• Develop donor retention strategies and reduce external supplier reliance

• Lead staffing, scheduling, performance, and policy implementation

• Monitor inventory, equipment, and documentation accuracy

• Perform phlebotomy, donor screening, and component preparation

• Lead QA/QC initiatives and regulatory reporting

• Train staff and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s in Clinical Laboratory Science (or related)

• Certifications: ASCP/NCA (required), SBB (preferred)

• Experience: 5+ years (blood center preferred), prior supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of blood bank operations, AABB/FDA regulations

Work Environment

Hospital lab & donor center with mobile drives; regional travel required
