Description And Responsibilities Open Sky is seeking an experienced Facilities leader to provide oversight of the strategic planning and day-to-day management of facilities operations for the agency’s portfolio of approximately 100 properties. Properties include administrative offices, clinical sites, residential facilities, and day program locations. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and support the agency’s mission of delivering high-quality community health and human services. The Director of Facilities will provide leadership to facilities, maintenance, and vendor teams and oversees capital projects, manages budgets, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with program leadership to meet operational needs of their programs. Other Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy aligned with agency goals and growth.
- Manage space planning, moves, renovations, and site openings/closures.
- Ensure 24/7 emergency response protocols are in place for facilities-related issues.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets; oversee architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive facilities management experience with a minimum of 3 yearsin a leadership or director-level role, required.
- Experience managing large, multi-site property portfolios, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or human services environments, required.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and capital projects, required.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) and working knowledge of healthcare and human services regulations, required.
- Certified Facility Manager, preferred.
