Job Title: Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (General Surgery)

Location: Hyannis, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $40 – $50 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Surgical Technologist – Operating Room for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, drapes, and solutions.

• Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with hospital policies and AORN Standards of Care.

• Perform scrub technician functions for all surgical specialties.

• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.

• Hold retractors, cut sutures, and assist in counting sponges, needles, and instruments.

• Handle, label, and care for specimens for laboratory analysis.

• Assist with applying surgical dressings and patient positioning.

• Ensure availability of procedure-specific instruments and equipment.

• Assist in patient transport to and from the operating room and recovery area.

• Operate and maintain sterilization and surgical equipment as required.

• Support OR turnover and restocking between cases.

• Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and safety at all times.

• Participate in staff orientation, training, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Civilian or Military Surgical Technologist program.

• National Certification (NBSTSA) required within 12 months of graduation and must be maintained.

• Certification must be from an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.

• Current BLS Certification required.

• Strong Orthopedic experience highly preferred.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
