MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST

Job Title: Mammography Tech – Mammography

Rate: Up to $3000.00 weekly

Location: Lawrence, MA

Day Shift (8H) - (5 x 8 hours/day)

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Perform Mammographic Procedures : Conduct mammograms and other imaging techniques as per physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Patient Care : Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and providing care before, during, and after imaging.
• Equipment Maintenance : Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring it functions correctly and safely, and report any malfunctions.
• Quality Assurance : Monitor and ensure the quality of mammographic images, adhering to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Record Keeping : Maintain detailed patient records and logs as required by department protocols and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration : Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and determine if additional imaging is necessary.
• Participating in Quality Improvement : Engage in departmental quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and imaging practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

• Prefer a minimum of two (2) year of proven experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Excellent understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and ability to communicate it.
• Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and ability to fix minor issues.
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and certification in Mammography
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
