Delivery Professional

POSITION SUMMARY

We believe that our Delivery Professionals are the heart and soul of our business, serving as the primary ambassadors to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable FULL-TIME Delivery Professional to join our team at our Billerica, MA Service Center.

Matthews International is a world wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday.
Shift Hours: 6am - 2:30pm. Our driver are home early afternoons.
Starting Pay: $22 per hour.

$2,000 Bonus for all new hires. Paid after 90 and 180 days of employment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives truck to deliver products.
• Loads trucks for delivery.
• Prepares products for delivery.
• Completes daily log book to record delivery activity.
• Unloads trucks upon arrival at drop-off location and distribution center.
• Cleans warehouse based upon location and company compliance standards.
• Puts products away as necessary.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required)
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Test and MVR Check.
• Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
