Senior Product Manager

Klaviyo
Boston, MA

Product Managers at Klaviyo have mastered the craft of Product Management. They are highly-skilled practitioners, who have been directly responsible for driving significant business outcomes. At Klaviyo, you’ll work in the kind of high-growth environment that offers unlimited potential. The potential to be a driving force that achieves even greater business outcomes, and the potential to coach and mentor the next generation of Product Managers. Klaviyo’s fast growth will ensure that opportunities abound.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead high-impact, cross-functional product initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, loves solving hard problems, and can drive meaningful business outcomes through product development. You’ll be responsible for setting product vision, driving strategy, and delivering results that delight customers and elevate team performance.  Please not that this role is located in Boston and requires 3 days/week in our office. Fully remote candidates will not be considered at this time.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

  • Lead product strategy: Define success, identify high-impact problems, and align with broader business objectives.

  • Own prioritization and roadmap: Balance long-term vision with immediate needs, using data to guide investment decisions.

  • Drive execution: Collaborate cross-functionally to set goals, remove blockers, and deliver against milestones.

  • Champion the customer: We cannot build products that exceed our customer’s expectations without truly understanding those customers. That’s why Senior Product Managers at Klaviyo spend a significant amount of time interacting with customers. At Klaviyo, knowledge about our customers is power.

  • Communicate effectively: Clearly articulate strategy and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. Someone who joins Klaviyo must be exceptional at articulating their thinking through the written word. As a company, our success is gated on collectively being great and prolific communicators.

  • Mentor and lead: Senior Product Managers are expected to be leaders on the team, identifying ways to accelerate or level up the rest of the product team and finding ways to push them forward, as well as being a go-to resource for other product managers.

  • Deliver business outcomes: Focus on driving measurable results through thoughtful, rigorous problem-solving and strong execution.

  • Think deeply, act decisively: Senior Product Managers at Klaviyo think deeply, quickly, and analytically. The rigor of thought is extreme here so we can ensure we’re making the best decision possible at all times. You should love to tease out problems, break them down to small, digestible pieces, and put them back together elegantly.

  • Influence beyond your domain: Resolve dependencies and align adjacent product areas to ensure a cohesive experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain a product roadmap that reflects customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact

  • Write detailed product specifications that cover use cases, edge cases, and implementation paths

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other departments to ship high-quality features and improvements

  • Analyze product performance and continuously identify opportunities for optimization or innovation

  • Act as a champion for the customer, maintaining a deep understanding of their problems and workflows

  • Constantly learn and adapt—diving deep into unfamiliar areas and emerging technologies when necessary

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of experience in the tech industry, with at least 5 years in a product management role

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing products across their full lifecycle

  • Strong technical intuition and the ability to work closely with engineering teams on architectural decisions

  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact products and improving team efficiency

  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in written form, with an ability to bring clarity to complex ideas

  • Deep user empathy and experience gathering insights from a wide range of stakeholders

  • Data-informed mindset with experience analyzing large datasets and using metrics to guide decisions

  • Experience aligning multiple stakeholders and navigating trade-offs in high-growth or fast-paced environments
