Our client, a mid-sized corporate law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to support their litigation and corporate practice groups. This well-respected firm represents clients across industries including technology, healthcare, and financial services. The legal team handles complex commercial litigation, contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance matters.

The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys on case management, document preparation, legal research, and client communications. This role offers exposure to sophisticated legal work and opportunities to develop specialized expertise. Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research databases
  • Draft and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Manage discovery process including document review, production, and privilege logs
  • Coordinate with court clerks on filing deadlines and procedural requirements
  • Assist with contract review, due diligence, and closing document preparation
  • Maintain case files and ensure accurate documentation in case management system
  • Prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing exhibits and materials
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally
  • Support business development efforts by preparing pitch materials and client presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Paralegal Certificate from ABA-approved program preferred
  • 4-6 years of paralegal experience in law firm environment
  • Strong litigation experience including discovery, trial preparation, and court procedures
  • Proficiency with legal research databases and e-discovery platforms
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and document formatting skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional demeanor and excellent client service orientation
