Job Overview:

Avantii Hair Design, an upscale salon in Winchester, MA, is seeking a talented and motivated Hair Stylist with an existing clientele to join our team. We specialize in providing a variety of high-end hair care and beauty services, including cuts, color, treatments, and waxing.

We are looking for stylists who are passionate about their craft, dedicated to client satisfaction, and ready to grow their careers in a supportive salon environment. Candidates with an established book of clients will be given priority, as we want to ensure you have the space and tools to continue servicing your loyal guests while welcoming new ones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Haircuts and Styling: Perform precision haircuts and creative styling for women, men, and children, following client preferences and the latest trends.
• Color Services: Execute a wide range of color services, including single-process color, full highlights, balayage, root touch-ups, and fashion colors.
• Chemical Treatments: Apply advanced hair treatments like keratin treatments, perms, relaxers, and other chemical processes to achieve desired textures and styles.
• Extensions: Consult with clients on extension options and install, blend, and maintain tape-in, clip-in, or fusion hair extensions.
• Hair Treatments: Provide high-end conditioning treatments such as deep conditioning, scalp treatments, and protein treatments to improve hair health.
• Waxing Services: Perform facial and body waxing services, including brow shaping, lip waxing, chin waxing, and other body waxing treatments as requested by clients.
• Consultations: Offer expert consultations on hair and waxing care needs, recommending suitable products and aftercare routines based on individual client preferences and hair type.
• Blowouts and Styling: Provide blowout services that include straightening, curls, waves, and updos for special events like weddings and formal occasions.
• Sanitation and Cleanliness: Ensure that your workstation, waxing station, and tools are kept clean and sanitized according to state regulations and salon standards.
• Retail Recommendations: Recommend salon-grade hair care and waxing aftercare products to clients based on their needs and educate them on their benefits.

Qualifications:

• A valid Massachusetts Cosmetology License is required.
• Experience working in a salon setting with strong skills in cutting, coloring, waxing, and treatments.
• Familiarity with current trends in haircuts, color techniques, waxing techniques, and hair care products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain and grow a loyal client base.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on salon needs.
• A passion for the beauty industry and commitment to continuous education and learning.
