Retail Graphic Designer
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented contractor to design and develop a Visual Merchandising Fixture Density Guide for use across current and future prototype retail stores. This digital catalog will define fixture density standards and capabilities while providing clear, visually compelling guidance for store teams and internal stakeholders. The work will translate merchandising and operational concepts into an organized, easy-to-use visual resource that supports consistency and scalability.
The Basics:
- Length: 6 month role
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: Hybrid schedule in Framingham, MA
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience creating layout-driven, print-ready digital documents and visual catalogs
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and graphic storytelling
- Ability to balance creative design with clarity, usability, and functional requirements
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and incorporating feedback
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Retail visual merchandising, store design, or fixture layout experience is preferred
- Experience with Canva is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout a visual and virtual merchandising catalog that clearly communicates fixture density standards and best practices
- Develop fixture density diagrams, supporting visuals, and clear graphic representations of merchandising concepts
- Translate operational and merchandising requirements into intuitive, easy-to-understand visual content
- Collaborate closely with presentation, merchandise operations, and prototype stakeholders to align design output with future store vision
- Ensure visual consistency with established brand guidelines and maintain a professional, retail-focused aesthetic
- Produce a complete digital, print-ready visual merchandising book and a style guide to support future updates
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
