The Payment Operations Specialist I performs routine payment transaction processing and maintenance activities to support accurate member records and transaction integrity. This entry-level role focuses on learning policies, procedures, and systems while providing reliable operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Process routine payment transactions (ACH, check clearing, basic electronic payments).
• Perform daily balancing and reconciliation.
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform routine transaction processing and data entry.
• Support daily operational tasks and queues.
• Escalate exceptions or discrepancies to appropriate staff.
• Comply with all regulatory, security, and internal control requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years financial institution or operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base salary range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr , excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired at Rockland Federal Credit Union, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
