Billing Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Woburn, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate billing processes. Your expertise will ensure seamless operations and contribute to the financial success of our organization. Responsibilities: - Prepare and issue invoices promptly and accurately to ensure timely billing cycles. - Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to facilitate collections and resolve any discrepancies. - Maintain and update billing records in computerized systems to ensure data integrity. - Generate and review billing statements, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. - Collaborate with internal teams to address billing-related queries and provide necessary documentation. - Analyze billing data to identify errors and recommend solutions to improve accuracy. - Assist in the development and implementation of billing procedures to enhance efficiency. - Ensure adherence to all billing regulations and company guidelines in daily operations. - Provide support during audits by organizing and presenting required billing documentation. - Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues with professionalism and clarity. Requirements - Proven experience in billing functions and financial operations. - Strong knowledge of billing systems and computerized accounting tools. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately. - Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. - Proficiency in generating and reviewing invoices, statements, and related financial documents. - Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in billing processes. - Familiarity with relevant billing regulations and compliance standards. - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
