Job Qualifications
As a Kitchen Manager in Boston, MA, the right candidate will bring a combination of hands-on experience and strong leadership fundamentals. The following qualifications are required for consideration:
- Previous kitchen management experience in a restaurant environment
- Strong ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable to high standards
- Demonstrated experience managing labor, scheduling, and controlling costs
- Ability to stay calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions under pressure
- A strong customer service mindset with proven problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in all aspects of the role
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills when engaging with both staff and guests
- Solid understanding of food safety protocols and cleanliness standards

- Experience in fast casual or high-volume restaurant environments
- Knowledge of budgeting, and inventory systems
- Experience opening or scaling restaurant locations
- Familiarity with POS systems and software
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills

Job Responsibilities
As the Kitchen Manager in Boston, MA, you will serve as the operational backbone of the kitchen, driving performance, quality, and team cohesion on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee all back-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient service during all shifts
- Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
- Build and manage staff schedules while carefully monitoring labor costs
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Collaborate with ownership and front-of-house leadership to align kitchen performance with overall business goals
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and waste reduction to support cost control objectives
- Address and resolve operational challenges quickly and professionally, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations
- Contribute to the onboarding and ongoing development of kitchen team members
