How you will create an impact

The Regional Production Specialist must demonstrate high technical proficiency and underwriting acumen, combined with marketing and sales skills, to meet production underwriting goals while maintaining budgeted loss and expense ratios. You will work effectively in a team to develop broker and portfolio strategies and independently manage a profitable book of business. You will also mentor junior team members, assist in planning and budgeting, collaborate across divisions, and promote diversity and inclusion.

• Underwrite property risks across the spectrum of E&S Property business, helping to set team direction and maintain a balanced portfolio across primary and excess placements.
• Ability to underwrite 100%, primary/shared, layered, and excess structures.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, make quick decisions, and manage multiple prospects simultaneously.
• Lead responsibilities beyond underwriting, including mentoring, collaboration, and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.
• Work with regional Property leadership to build a renowned team and culture.
• Underwrite risks to grow the E&S portfolio profitably.
• Collaborate internally and with wholesale trading partners.
• Review and negotiate manuscript form wordings and coverages.
• Mentor and guide other team members within the Zone.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Commercial Property E&S underwriting.
• Ability to underwrite all types of property risks within E&S Property, including primary, shared, layered, and excess structures.
• Strong market understanding, decision-making skills, and ability to manage multiple prospects.
• Leadership qualities to mentor and collaborate across divisions and promote a diverse culture.

For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $120,000-$155,000, with eligibility for a bonus according to the incentive plan. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, details of which can be viewed in the 2025 Benefits Summary.
