Division Manager
Job Description
Job Description
At IRC, our greatest asset is our team: a dedicated group of hardworking individuals that help solve roofing challenges every day. We pride ourselves on creating a positive culture founded on mutual respect, great teamwork, and positive attitudes. By joining the IRC team, you will have the opportunity to learn or expand a skilled trade, serve the business community, and work hands-on with your peers.
Build the Future of IRC in Massachusetts
Industrial Roofing Company (IRC) is expanding our presence in Massachusetts, and we are seeking a Division Manager to help lead and shape the next phase of growth in our Haverhill office. This is not simply an operations management role — it is a leadership opportunity to help build and strengthen a growing division within an established and respected regional contractor. The right candidate will play a central role in developing people, improving operational performance, and helping position the division for long‑term success in a strong and expanding market. For experienced construction leaders who may currently be working within larger organizations and looking for the opportunity to make a more direct impact, this role offers something different: the ability to influence decisions, shape a team, and see the results of your leadership in a meaningful way.
Why Haverhill & the Massachusetts Market
Massachusetts continues to be one of the strongest commercial construction and building maintenance markets in the Northeast. The Haverhill location provides access to a broad and diverse customer base across the North Shore, Merrimack Valley, and Greater Boston regions. IRC has an established reputation in the industry and is investing in the continued growth of this division. The Division Manager will play an important role in building on that foundation — helping develop the team, strengthening operations, and expanding our service capabilities in the region. For the right leader, this position offers the opportunity to help guide the growth of a division in a market with significant long‑term potential.
The Role
The Division Manager is the senior operational leader responsible for the overall performance, culture, and accountability of the division. This role leads project execution while working closely with company leadership to strengthen operations, develop people, and ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and consistently to IRC standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead and support the division's operational staff including Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen (through Superintendents), and field leadership. Build a team culture centered on accountability, professionalism, and safety.
Division Development
Help shape the future of the division by strengthening processes, developing people, and improving operational performance. Create an environment where teams take ownership of their work and take pride in delivering exceptional results.
Operational Excellence
Ensure projects follow company operating standards, systems, and procedures to maintain consistency and quality across all work.
Safety Leadership
Promote and reinforce a culture where safety is a core value. Support field leaders in maintaining safe work practices, proper documentation, and compliance.
Financial Performance
Monitor job cost reporting and production metrics to ensure projects remain profitable and on track. Identify potential margin issues early and work with project teams to implement corrective action.
Leadership Presence
Represent company leadership within the division, setting clear expectations, supporting team members, and driving consistent execution.
