Maintenance Technician - Emergency Shelter

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a respected non-profit organization in Haverhill, MA to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician . This role is part of the facilities management team, providing preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance services across multiple sites, including residential apartment buildings and program offices.
Training and support will be provided to help the right candidate succeed and grow in the role.
Position Details

Location: Haverhill, MA

Facility Type: Emergency Homeless Shelter

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Duration: 13 weeks to start, with strong potential for extension

Pay Rate: $20-22/hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform basic plumbing, electrical repairs, general maintenance, and cleaning duties
-
Operate floor maintenance equipment
-
Lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed
-
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with staff and residents

Travel locally between sites as required
Qualifications
-
Prior maintenance experience preferred
-
Ability to read and speak English; Spanish bilingual strongly preferred but not required

Valid driver's license in good standing

Must pass CORI and driving record checks

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
