Telemetry RN Job Details – Brighton, MA

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Location: Brighton, Massachusetts 02135 (Greater Boston area)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070–$2130 per week
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: November 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM); every other weekend and holiday required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit Types: MedSurg/Telemetry, Float Pool (M7: Med Surg Ortho/Urology/Neurology/GYN, 6W: Cardiology/Telemetry, 7E: Surgery, CMS6: Cardio-thoracic)
• Average Patient Ratio: 5:1

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (this campus does not use EPIC)
• Skilled in IVs, telemetry, and independent telemetry strip interpretation
• Must pass on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 (score of 84%+; 2 attempts allowed)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Preferred: 3-5 years of float pool experience and adaptability to multiple MedSurg/Tele units

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Float between MedSurg/Telemetry units as assigned, adapting to various teams and patient populations
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Independently interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient status changes
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform routine nursing procedures
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
