**Maintenance Technician - (Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm) with training on 1st shift (Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:12 pm) - Worcester, MA**
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment. Performs general maintenance on the plant and office areas, including installation, carpentry, or plumbing as necessary.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Adhere to all safety procedures and best manufacturing practices
+ Possesses good diagnostic skills and be capable of recommending repairs, replacements or improvements.
+ Work from verbal and written instructions and use blueprints sketches, and schematic drawings.
+ Carry out and / or assist in the repair, construction, installation, and maintenance of various types of production process and auxiliary equipment.
+ Answer trouble calls and make repairs to minimize downtime.
+ Perform plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, masonry, and rigging work.
+ Be on call for weekend or non-regular hours when scheduled.
+ Housekeeping duties in specific work area and general plant
+ Other duties as assigned.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS** **:**
+ Associate's degree or equivalent credits in mechanical and / or applied sciences.
+ Must have 3 years' experience in any 4 of the 8 following skill categories: Mechanical drivers, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Electrical, Welding, Plumbing, Electronics, HVAC, or CAD.

**REASONING ABILITY**
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Saint Gobain issued fork truck license.

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $68,100 to $83,200. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
