Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in field service. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- 5 years plus of work experience as HVAC Technician
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and more.
- Lead HVAC installation projects, including the installation of heating and cooling systems, ductwork, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC system issues, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding their HVAC needs, offering recommendations and explaining system options.
- Maintain and update accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs.
- Work in the field and complete jobs efficiently while adhering to safety and local code requirements.
- Support the team and owner by managing job schedules, coordinating with inventory, and assisting with training when necessary.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design.
- Background in construction or property maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems as they relate to HVAC installations.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Skills in welding and equipment repair are advantageous.
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly valued.

Certifications
- Active HVAC Technician license (state-specific requirements).
- EPA Certification (Section 608).
