Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care as the first assist in the operating room under surgeon direction
- Maintain sterile technique, handle instruments, and assist with tissue handling and wound exposure
- Prepare the OR, position patients, and ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, respond to changes, and document events in the patient record
- Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical team to optimize outcomes and support efficient case turnover

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license; license must be uploaded with profile
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) required; upload upfront with traveler profile
- Minimum 2 years of current First Assist Operating Room experience (Required)
- Bachelor of Science degree (BSN) (Required)
- American Heart Association BLS Certification (Required)
- CNOR certification (Certified Perioperative Nurse) (Required)
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Must have own vehicle
- Must reside outside 50 miles of the assignment facility (Travelers within 50 miles will not be considered)
- Current Massachusetts license or license application in hand at time of profile upload
