Electrician
- Receive work orders and coordinates work to fit schedule assigned by Lead electrician
- Estimate time and materials required on work order
- Maintain hospital nurse call system, paging, mechanical alarm and medical gas alarm systems
- Repair electric motors controllers and other auxiliary electrical devices.
- Makes emergency repairs to medical equipment
- Install new wiring and elec. Machinery working from prints and diagrams to determine layout location and specifications of items to be installed.
- Bend and run conduit
- Install concealed wiring
- Isolate and repair defective circuits as required
- Dismantle electrical machinery and break connections, replace defective parts and reassemble and test for proper operation
- Check and repair lighting systems
- Maintain and repair central clock system
- Take periodic inventory of stock and requisition supplies as needed to maintain adequate supply
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations
- Maintains CATV cabling to determine where problems or damage may have occurred.
- Assists the fire alarm testing company as needed to maintain hospital fire alarm system.
- Assists other trades as required by overload or emergency situation
- Assist with snow removal as necessary.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Compensation Range: $49.34/Hour
HS Diploma or GED Required
Trade School or apprenticeship. 3 years experience in commercial and industrial
Certification/Licensure:
Massachusetts Journeyman’s Electrical License and Massachusetts Drivers license
