Play Space Associate / Shift Leader (Full-Time / Manager Track)

Sandmagination is an indoor children’s play facility centered around sand-based sensory exploration. Designed for children ages 0–10, our space includes interactive exhibits, hands-on STEAM activities, and a private event area. We are committed to cleanliness, safety, and providing a warm, inclusive environment for families and children of all abilities.
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Play Space Associate — a key member of our team who will help oversee and participate in daily operations, ensure an outstanding guest experience, and support team development. This position is ideal for someone seeking meaningful work with leadership potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in guests, manage day-to-day floor operations.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas including restrooms, play zones, and entry points.
- Interact with guests and enforce safety standards.
- Monitor and restock café items.
- Lead by example, supporting and mentoring part-time team members.
- Assist with light administrative tasks, manage birthday party bookings and event support.
- Collaborate with owners on ideas for improvements, events, and team dynamics.

- Someone who enjoys working with families and children, and is comfortable taking initiative and leading others.
- Seeking a consistent schedule and values structure, responsibility, and community impact.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer-facing or supervisory roles.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working with children and families in a dynamic environment.
- Physically able to lift 40 lbs and move throughout the facility throughout the day.
- Willing to work a consistent full-time schedule, including weekends.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or Portuguese) a plus but not required.
