Salary Range : $19 - $21 per hour
Phillips Academy is looking for Lifeguards to support our Athletic and Community Recreation Aquatic programs. Multiple part-time positions available with flexible hours that include Monday – Friday afternoons 3:30PM – 8:00PM and varying weekend shifts when school is in session, and extended weekday and weekend hours during the summer.
Certification and Licensing Requirements:
- Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate, or equivalent nationally recognized certification
- American Red Cross First Aid / CPR / AED Certification for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent nationally recognized certification
Qualifications and Skills:
- 16+ years of age with lifeguarding experience preferred.
- Swimming proficiency.
- Ability to adjust programs as necessary to ensure the safety of the visitors and other staff.
- Ability to judge and evaluate evolving dynamics of individuals participating in aquatic activities to immediately assess their capabilities and threats to their safety.
- Knowledge of on-site protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies with the ability to enforce safety objectives firmly but politely.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services.
