Autonomous Vessel Test Manager
The Autonomous Vessel Test Manager will conduct remote testing and oversee all on the water testing of our innovative marine autonomy systems. - Design, implement and manage systematic field-testing program of all advanced marine autonomous systems.
- Methodically validate system features and performance on a variety of marine vessels and simulators to provide detailed performance and quality data to technical teams.
- Analyze large sets of test and operational data to identify performance trends.
- Maintain thorough and well-structured documentation of test procedures and results ensuring traceability.
- Conduct on-the-water and remote demonstrations of marine autonomy system technologies to customers, investors and media.
- Provide operational support for safety and system certification testing.
- Share knowledge of marine systems and vessel operations with technology teams for the development of new products and features.
- Build a culture of marine operational excellence within the operations department.
- 3+ years’ progressive experience in professional maritime positions aboard commercial vessels.
- Current marine 100t tonnage license or greater; experience as a Mate or Captain.
- Proficiency with bridge navigation and communications systems.
- Ability to work with modern graphical user interfaces of common bridge systems and troubleshoot.
- Excellent analytical and program solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
