Precision Metrology Inspector

A day in this role

• Kick off with first-piece checks, then stay close to the process with in-process inspections and wrap up with final and first article inspections (FAI) to confirm everything meets stringent quality standards.
• Transform customer drawings and specifications into clear, electronic inspection reports that tell the story of every part you verify.
• Document with precision: nonconforming material reports, travelers, and control charts are completed accurately and on time.
• Move fluidly between blueprints, travelers, work instructions, process specifications, and even sketches to perform the right check at the right moment.
• Keep our measurement ecosystem trustworthy by verifying that gauges, tools, and machines are calibrated to company requirements.

Tools you’ll put to work

• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) — Zeiss — with Calypso software (experience programming and running is a plus).
• Microsoft Windows tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MRP systems for data and documentation.

What you bring

• High School diploma or GED; technical school in manufacturing technology and/or ASQ Certified Inspector is a plus.
• Fluency in GD&T with the ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail backed by advanced shop math; trigonometry skills are a plus.
• Understanding of aerospace requirements (AS9100, AS9102, ASTM’s) is preferable; AS9100 experience welcomed.
• Meets ITAR requirements — U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
