Key Responsibilities- Make an average of 50 outbound calls per day to clients and patients to follow up on medical claims, verify information, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, handling calls and emails with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Maintain a strong, working knowledge of health insurance plans, medical billing codes (ICD-10, CPT), and claims processes to provide expert assistance.
- Act as a patient advocate, identifying and resolving billing issues with a focus on quick, effective solutions.
- Collaborate with internal billing specialists and external insurance providers to resolve complex claim issues and ensure timely processing.
- Assist other departments as needed, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Help improve our processes by providing valuable feedback on system needs and potential changes.
- Experience in a call center with a focus on health insurance, medical billing, or medical claims is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficient with data entry and computers, including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred.
- Pay for this position is $22 per hour.
- The first week of training will be in-person in Springfield, MA .
- After the initial training, the position will be hybrid or fully remote , depending on business needs.
