Join our client, a leading national real estate firm specializing in medical office buildings across 25+ states. We are looking for an experienced and self-directed Maintenance Engineer to manage the technical operations of a key downtown Boston property.
This role offers a unique mix: the stability and resources of a large organization combined with the entrepreneurial autonomy of a local team. Engineers are trusted to manage their sites independently, make critical decisions, and take real ownership of their buildings.
Be a Part of Modernization: The company is making a significant five-year capital investment in modernizing and upgrading this asset. You won't just maintain systems; you'll oversee and implement major upgrades, building impressive project experience.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the efficient, reliable operation of all building systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for tenants.
- System Maintenance: Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety infrastructure .
- Building Operations: Operate and monitor the Building Automation System (BAS) and building control systems.
- Troubleshooting & Vendor Management: Quickly troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and efficiently coordinate repairs with vendors and tenants.
- Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate maintenance records, complete work orders promptly, and ensure compliance with all local codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications You'll Bring
- Experience: 5–10+ years of proven experience in commercial or high-rise building maintenance is required.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge and hands-on ability with commercial HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems .
- Attributes: Excellent communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to high-quality, reliable work.
