Chimney Sweep Apprentice
Location: Western Massachusetts
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Occasional Saturdays
Compensation: Based on Experience | Paid Training Provided
Done Right Chimney is looking for a skilled and dependable Chimney Technician / Stove Installer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, year-round role involving chimney inspections, stove installations, and light masonry repairs. We serve a wide range of customers across Western Massachusetts, with a focus on professionalism, safety, and exceptional workmanship.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspect and sweep chimney systems (wood, pellet, gas, electric).
- Install chimney liners, caps, chase covers, and venting systems.
- Perform minor masonry repairs (repointing, crown coating, waterproofing).
- Install and service wood, pellet, gas, and electric stoves/inserts.
- Diagnose venting issues and perform corrective cleanings.
- Use job management software for documentation and reporting.
- Maintain clean, safe, and respectful job sites.
- Work at heights on ladders and rooftops as part of routine duties.
What We’re Looking For:
- Background in chimney, HVAC, construction, masonry, or similar trades.
- Comfortable on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting 80+ lbs and working outdoors year-round.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.
- Available Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
