WEB & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Information Technology Department
Non-Union GRADE 9 - 40 Hours weekly
$58,666. To $70,985.
The person hired in this role will be responsible for creating, updating, maintaining and organizing content for the Town of Belmont’s online presence across its website and across various social media platforms. They are also the primary technical support contact for web-based questions from Town staff and will serve as a resource to staff who need assistance with updating their department’s content on the Web.
This ideal candidate is a creative, thoughtful and tech-savvy individual, with some prior professional experience with web-design, communications and various social media platforms. This position reports to Belmont IT’s Chief Information Officer.
· Provides day-to-day maintenance of the Town of Belmont website, including creating and editing pages, updating modules, and removing outdated information.
· Regularly reviews website content and proposes changes to improve usability, accessibility, and overall online presence.
· Coordinates with the CIO and Town departments on digital strategy, including the creation of a coordinated and effective social media presence across platforms.
· Responds to support requests from Town staff regarding website content or social media use.
· Assists and trains staff who need help updating departmental content.
· Provides on-call support outside of business hours as needed, including weekends.
· Performs other related duties as required.
Prior experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), CivicPlus and/or working for a government agency is a plus. Associate's degree or Higher in Web Design or Information Technology with at least 1+ year of previous experience or the equivalent combination of education or experience. Proven capability managing websites/social media accounts in a professional capacity. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
