Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

The Production Technician prepares molds, works hands-on with composite materials, and supports manufacturing processes for advanced composite products used in aerospace, defense, and naval applications. This role focuses on safely and efficiently executing production tasks by following detailed batch records and procedures, using hand tools and measuring devices, and collaborating with a team in a clean, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds and cast composite materials according to established production processes and batch records.
• Clean, inspect, and assemble molds to ensure they meet quality and production standards.
• Follow batch records and documented production procedures to mix, handle, and process materials correctly.
• Move molds in and out of industrial ovens using appropriate tools and safety practices.
• Use hand tools for assembly and disassembly of molds and production components.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints or work instructions to complete production tasks accurately.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure product consistency.
• Operate cutting tools and other general production equipment as required.
• Inspect work in process to identify defects or issues and report them promptly.
• Complete daily production tasks independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support overall manufacturing operations by assisting with general production and fabrication activities as needed.

Essential Skills

• Prior manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience working with composites or industrial materials.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment.
• Experience working with batch processes or mixing materials.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to use hand tools, cutting tools, and basic fabrication equipment.
• Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in team-based environments.
• Attention to detail for inspection and quality checks.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, batch records, and basic blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production or fabrication environments.
• Experience in working with fiberglass or similar composite materials.
• Comfort working with industrial ovens and heat-related processes.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple production tasks during a shift.
• Willingness to learn advanced composite manufacturing techniques and processes.

Work Environment

The role is based on a clean, well-lit production floor with individual workstations designed for hands-on composite manufacturing. You will work around industrial ovens, cutting tools, and general production equipment while using appropriate PPE and following established safety procedures. The environment supports consistent schedules with multiple shift options and emphasizes organization, safety, and teamwork throughout daily operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stoughton, MA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Stoughton,MA.
